Link Solutions, Inc. (LSi), a rapidly growing, highly successful provider of high-end solutions to the federal government, announced today that it has been appraised at Level 3 for the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for services. The appraisal was performed by Williamsburg Process Solutions LLC.
CMMI is a capability improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance. An appraisal at maturity level 3 indicates the organization is performing at a “defined” level. At this level, processes are well characterized and understood, and are described in standards, tools, and methods. The organization’s set of standard processes, which is the basis for maturity level 3, is established and improved over time.
In order to achieve CMMI Maturity Level 3 for Services, LSi underwent a rigorous review of twenty of its core process areas some of which were, Decision Analysis and Resolution, Service Continuity, Integrated Work Management, Process & Organizational Process Focus, Incident Resolution & Prevention, and Service System Transition. LSi’s CMMI Maturity Level 3 achievement is the latest on a rather impressive resume that includes CMMI Maturity Level 3 for Development, as well as three ISO certifications, ISO 9001:2008, ISO 20000-1:2011, and ISO 27001:2013. These accolades prove that LSi is committed to providing high quality services to customers by using the best practices for process management, and software development.
