The ISO 20000-1:2018 Standard promotes an integrated process approach to provide a stable framework for IT service management and to improve the quality, reputation, and consistency of services. It provides requirements for an information management security system (ISMS) that applies a thorough risk management process to keep property, financial, personnel, and other sensitive information secure. It contains practices that cover project management, process management, systems engineering, hardware engineering, software engineering, and other supporting processes used in development and maintenance.
