Chairman
Tom Ferrando is an experienced Govcon executive with over 35 years of technology leadership experience who currently supports a number of companies as either Executive Chairman, Board Member or Strategic Advisor. Previously Tom served as CEO of Salient CRGT, a world-class professional technology services company providing high tech solutions to the Federal government. In this role, Mr. Ferrando was responsible for leading the company’s nearly 2,000 employees supporting customers in Federal Health, Civilian, Defense, and National Security agencies to complete their mission as they design, build, and operate world class technology solutions. Mr. Ferrando was responsible for the company’s short- and long-term business strategies, technical innovation roadmaps, growth enablement, mergers & acquisition strategies and ethical compliance programs.
Mr. Ferrando’s 30-year history has always been associated with technology innovation and growth companies. He founded CRGT in 2008 as a spinoff of CherryRoad Technologies. As CEO of CRGT, Mr. Ferrando was the author of the company’s long-term strategic growth plan which included both organic growth and acquisitions. Under his leadership the company successfully completed and integrated a number of acquisitions to set CRGT on the path as a force to be reckoned with among mid-tier services firms. CRGT was an early adopter of leading edge technologies including agile software development, cyber security, and mobility services. In 2014, Mr. Ferrando successfully led the sale of CRGT Inc. to Bridge Growth Partners.
Prior to CRGT, Mr. Ferrando was the President of CherryRoad Technologies from 2000-2008. Under his leadership, CherryRoad Technologies provided technology services to both commercial and government clients in the area of enterprise resource planning software implementations, upgrades and extensions to the Web; e-Business strategy development; implementation of e-Business applications; Web integration; enterprise portal development; enterprise application integration; security services; Management Consulting services including process assessment and redesign and business transformation services. In 2008, Mr. Ferrando successfully led the sale of CherryRoad Technologies government sector to Veritas Capital.
Prior to CherryRoad, Mr. Ferrando was General Manager of Operations and Systems at a major financial services firm where he led technology research and development among other critical responsibilities.
Mr. Ferrando earned a Master of Science degree in Management from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ.
Mr. Ferrando is a currently a member of the Board of Directors for CherryRoad Technologies, GovCIO, and PMCG. He also serves as a member of the advisory board for Seton Hall University’s Buccino Center Leadership Council.
